About my approach
My dog training journey began with my own rescue dog, Kaya. Today, she's the dog I dreamed of, adventure buddy to our pack dogs and best host to our fosters. But when I adopted her in 2021, she was incredibly fearful and reactive. I know what it's like to feel lost and frustrated with my dog, and it gives me so much joy to support other owners in their training journey with their own dogs.
My training approach is designed to strengthen the relationship and communication between you and your dog, allowing us to address problem behaviours from a foundation of trust, connection, and clarity. My methods are holistic and balanced, and while I believe corrections can be a useful part of the communication toolbox, we always lead with setting your dog up for success with proper guidance, structure, nervous system regulation, and breed fulfillment.
I've learned first-hand from some of the most respected dog trainers internationally and continue to expand my knowledge through workshops, seminars, and shadow experiences.
My connection-based training philosophy is also integrated into our adventure pack hikes, a structured program to bring out the best in dogs. We build our packs intentionally - to foster long-term bonds and with community in mind. We love that many of our dogs have been with us since puppyhood and are also our neighbours!

I'm fully insured with PROfur, canine first aid certified with DogSafe, and licensed for commercial dog walking in the District of West Vancouver.
